Kano Assembly Speaker, Majority Leader Resign

BEVERLY HILLS, December 15, (THEWILL) – Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Abdulaziz Garba Gafasa and the Majority Leader of the House, Kabiru Hassan Dashi have resigned.

THEWILL learnt that the two principal officers and members of All Progressives Congress (APC), tendered their resignation letters in the early hours of Tuesday

The Speaker announced his resignation in a letter dated December 14, 2020 and addressed to the Clerk of the House and office of the Permanent Secretary.

Also, the Majority Leader, in a one-paragraph letter of resignation, also addressed to the Clerk of the House ,did not state the reason why he took the action.

However, the Speaker said his resignation was based on personal conviction, while he thanked members of the Assembly for the support they showed him while he was in charge.
