November 16, (THEWILL) – Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane, has disclosed in a recent interview that he is an admirer of Nigerian Afrobeats star, Burna Boy. The revelation came during a conversation with ESPN UK, in which Kane was asked about his favourite musicians.
The England national team captain cited Burna Boy’s hit song “Big 7” as being stuck in his head lately. He went on to say, “I do like Burna Boy, to be fair. It just popped into my head there.” When asked which musician he would most like to see live, Kane named Burna Boy and UK rapper Dave.
The 30-year-old is currently enjoying a prolific season in Germany, having scored 17 goals in just 11 Bundesliga appearances so far. This electric form sees Kane hunting his first European Golden Boot, following last season’s winner Erling Haaland.
The Manchester City striker bagged an outstanding 36 goals last campaign, breaking numerous records en route to a domestic treble. Kane will be hoping to emulate that success during his debut season abroad with the German champions.
With his revelation of being a Burna Boy fan, Kane has given an insight into his life off the pitch. The Nigerian singer is one of Africa’s biggest music stars, renowned for his energetic live performances.
