Update: Popular Event Planner Ibidunni Ighodalo Is Dead

BEVERLY HILLS, June 14, (THEWILL) – Event planner and wife of Lagos-based clergyman, Ibidunni Ituah-Ighodalo is dead.

She died in Port Harcourt where she went to work, after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest.

The former beauty queen and former Miss Lux died in her sleep, according to friends. She was in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, building a COVID-19 isolation center for the CACOVID initiative in Nigeria, a coalition of private sector companies rallied by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, against the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement by Asue Ighodalo, the families of the deceased requested for privacy at this time, saying funeral arrangements would be announced later.

“The Ighodalo and Olaleye Ajayi families are deeply saddened to announce the sudden loss of our beloved wife and daughter Mrs. Ibidunni Ituah-Ighodalo who passed away in the early hours of today.

“As you will understand, this is a difficult time for our families and we will appreciate some privacy during this time. All information of burial proceedings will be provided in due course,” the statement said.

The deceased was the founder of Elizabeth R, an Events Planning and Public Relations company of high repute in Nigeria.

She was also the founder of the Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation (IIF), through which she has been able to help many marriages have a child of their own.

Ibidunni was a beacon of hope to many marriages and was known for her beauty, and great love for children, adopting many kids during her lifetime.

Having gone through 11 Invitro-Fertilization and waiting 11 years to have a biological child, her story has touched many lives and lifted many marriages till today.

“I made a covenant with God and told Him that I would help couples going through the same challenges as me by providing spiritual, financial and psychological support in seeking fertility treatment,” she said about helping couples.

She is survived by husband and two adopted kids.
