August 23, (THEWILL) — Julian Alvarez’s future at Atletico Madrid has taken another dramatic turn after the forward was subjected to a hostile reception from his own supporters during the club’s 2-2 draw with Villarreal.
The Argentine began the match on the substitutes’ bench, but his presence was impossible to ignore as the transfer speculation surrounding him continued to dominate the build-up to the fixture.

Club intervenes after final whistle
