Jet Conveying Nigerian Minister Of Power Crash-lands In Ibadan

November 04, (THEWILL) – A luxury jet conveying the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu and some other persons crash-landed at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport runway late Friday evening due to poor visibility.

THEWILL gathered that the HS25 aircraft, operated by Flint Aero, departed Abuja Airport for Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, at about 6:41pm but landed short of the threshold with about 50 metres and skidded into a bushy ditch close to the runway.

While persons on board and crew members were safely evacuated, sources at the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) said there were no injuries and no life was lost.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) have initiated a thorough investigation into the incident, the source added.
