November 24, (THEWILL) – Hollywood actor, Eric Marlon Bishop, professionally known as Jamie Foxx, has denied sexual assault allegations from a woman identified as Jane Doe, who filed a lawsuit against him from an alleged 2015 incident.

In the recent lawsuit, Jane describes the unsettling incident, accusing Foxx of allegedly placing both hands on her waist, moving them under her top and proceeding to make unwarranted advances by rubbing her breasts.

She claims this occurred after he pulled her to a secluded area on the rooftop of Catch NYC & Roof.

Foxx has, however, denied the allegations in a statement by his spokesperson, saying, “The alleged incident never happened. In 2020, this individual filed a nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn. That case was dismissed shortly thereafter. The claims are no more viable today than they were then.

”We are confident they will be dismissed again. And once they are, Mr. Foxx intends to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against this person and her attorneys for re-filing this frivolous action.”

In her lawsuit, the plaintiff alleged that the incident took place around 1 a.m., a few hours after she and a friend were seated at a table away from Jamie Foxx at the celebrity hotspot.

According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff’s friend asked Foxx for a photo, to which he allegedly replied, “Sure, baby, anything for you.”

She claims he seemed intoxicated and commented that she resembled Gabrielle Union.

Furthermore, the plaintiff asserted that Foxx remarked, “Wow, you have that supermodel body” and that she smelled “so good.”

Following an alleged physical encounter, the plaintiff attempted to step away, noticing a security guard and others who witnessed the incident but chose to walk away.

The plaintiff claims that the situation escalated quickly, alleging that Foxx “slid his hand into her pants and put his fingers on and in her vagina and anus.” When her friend intervened, Foxx stopped the inappropriate behaviour.

The plaintiff states that she sought medical treatment and experienced pain and emotional distress due to the alleged sexual assault, abuse, assault, and battery. She is suing Foxx, Catch, and its employees for compensation and punitive damages.

The lawsuit falls under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, allowing for the filing of sexual abuse claims within a one-year revival window, bypassing the statute of limitations. The deadline for such claims ends on Thursday.

At the time of the alleged incident, Foxx was in a relationship with actress Katie Holmes, from whom he split after six years of dating in May 2019.

Foxx faced a previous accusation of sexual misconduct in 2002, where he was accused of slapping a woman with his penis. In 2018, Las Vegas police confirmed a similar allegation, naming Foxx as the suspect. Foxx’s lawyer denied the claims, emphasising the lack of prior reporting and considering the story extraordinarily reckless.

These recent allegations come seven months after Foxx’s unspecified medical emergency in April, leading to an extended hospitalization.
