Isa Funtua Will Be Remembered For Getting Women Appointed Into Boards – Aisha Buhari

BEVERLY HILLS, July 22, (THEWILL) – First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari Wednesday paid a surprise tribute to the deceased Ismaila Isa Funtua, a close associate and longtime adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The late Funtua, a member of the so-called ‘cabal’, a group of powerful and influential men around the president, who are powerbrokers, who Mrs. Buhari has engaged in a protracted grudge fight over control of presidential influence and power, died on July 20, 2020, from cardiac arrest.

In her tribute to the businessman and former newspaper publisher, which Mrs. Buhari shared on her social media handles, she described him as a person who uplifted women by ensuring they got appointed into boards of federal government agencies.
