November 05, (THEWILL) – The Super Eagles face a challenging road ahead in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign, with several key players facing fitness issues ahead of upcoming matches against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
Manager Jose Peseiro is working diligently to secure Nigeria’s ticket to the global tournament, but his squad has been hampered by injuries to critical players.
AC Milan winger, Samuel Chukwueze, is set to miss around one month after sustaining a left hamstring injury while on international duty. His absence leaves a significant void, given his abilities on a good day. Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been sidelined since picking up a knock versus Saudi Arabia and missed four club matches, leaving gaps up front.
