December 23, (THEWILL) – Hollywood American star, Taraji P Henson, recently expressed frustration with the ongoing exploitation of Black women in the entertainment industry.
In a recent SiriusXM podcast interview, Henson, known for her role in ‘Acrimony’, candidly shared her weariness, citing not only her unequal compensation but also the grievances of other Black female entertainers.
She said, “I’m just tired of working so hard, being gracious at what I do and being paid a fraction of the cost.
“I’m tired of my sisters saying the same thing over and over. You get tired. I hear people go, ‘You work a lot.’ The math ain’t matching, every time I negotiate, it’s like I’m starting from the bottom.”
