July 06, (THEWILL) – Despite nursing an injury, Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is currently in the process of agreeing a new contract with Serie A champions, AC Milan.
Ibrahimovic had knee surgery after the conclusion of the 2021/2022 season, and it is now anticipated that he will spend some time on the sidelines. A deal to extend the striker’s contract is being finalised, which will see Ibrahimovic earn less than the pay of his previous contract.
He will receive a salary of €1 million per season, with bonuses that could bring the total to €1.5 million. On the basis of goals and assists, the incentives will accrue to the Swedish forward.
In the coming days, he is anticipated to formally append his signature to the deal and it will be made official.
Ibrahimovic scored eight goals and notched up three assists for the Rossoneri despite being unable to play in numerous games during the 2021/2022 season.
