December 09, (THEWILL) – Seun Kuti, aka Big Bird, son of Afrobeat legendary pioneer, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has recalled some of his childhood experience with his late father.
According to Kuti, he received some frowning lessons from his dad while growing up.
Big bird explained that his father recommended the lessons for him because he felt life needed frowns, but he was always smiling.
Hailing his iconic father, the 39-year-old saxophonist said he eventually mastered the act of frowning in such a manner that nobody can withstand his eyes when at it.
He said: “Fun fact. My dad used to give me frowning lessons. He said I was always smiling and life needs frowning. Abami. You too much.
“When I frown ehn, nobody fit stand the eyes”, he wrote.
