BEVERLY HILLS, August 22, (THEWILL) – Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has denied ever saying he would commit suicide if President Muhammadu Buhari returns alive from his medical trip in London.
Fayose was credited as saying: “I will commit suicide if Buhari comes back alive.”
However, Buhari, who had been in London since May 7, returned back to Nigeria on Saturday 19th of August, 2017 and resumed work from his home office due to an infestation of rodents in his office while he was away.
Responding to the report, Fayose, in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, declared that the statement was never made by him but was the orchestration of the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
“It was the creation of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state,” Fayose stated.
“Fayose never said he would commit suicide if the President returns to the country.
“It is the creation of the APC. It is their style to create such falsehood?”
