January 23, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actress, Lilian Afegbai, has recalled how she almost got expelled from university because she had a sex scene with popular actor, Jim Iyke.
She made this known while speaking on Taymesan’s podcast ‘Tea With Tay’ where she opened up about her first movie which almost got her expelled from Benson Idahosa University.
“After my secondary school in Benson Idahosa school, I got admission to Benson Idahosa University.
“Each time I was on holiday during my secondary school days, it was either I travel or I’m in a boarding house so I really didn’t mingle like that.
“I started mingling when I got to the University. That was when I was let loose because I was by myself. I started staying off campus even though my school didn’t allow it.
“I had to create a reason to stay off campus. I was able to venture into acting because I stayed off campus. I almost got expelled from school at a point because I had a sex scene with Jim Iyke on location.
“When the movie came out, it caused a lot of uproar in school because I was very young then and I was attending a Christian school.
“I was Jim Iyke’s side chick in the movie. We had a room scene where he was flipping me. I was young then so many people felt it was just a lot for me.
“People were so jealous in school and I was reported to the authorities.
“So, they brought the movie to school and I was accused of acting in an illicit scene. I had to face the school panel and it was bad. I thought I was going to be expelled, I was scared.
“So when I went to the panel, I made them understand that I am a Christian and I will never do anything to jeopardise my Christian faith.
“But then, I told them that it was just acting. It was all make-believe. If I don’t act it, who will act it? If we don’t act the side chic, who will act it? But I was afraid because I thought I was going to get expelled. I thank God, I wasn’t expelled”, she stated.
