BEVERLY HILLS, May 18, (THEWILL) – Hoodlums on Tuesday disrupted the ongoing Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) protest in Kaduna.
The hoodlums, wielding machetes and cudgels, stormed the protest scene along NEPA Roundabouts to chase away the NLC protesters who gathered to protest the Kaduna State Government’s decision to sack workers.
Policemen however dispersed the hoodlums with teargas.
THEWILL reports that the state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, had on Tuesday declared the National President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Ayuba Wabba, and other members of the union wanted.
El-Rufai, in a tweet, said: “Ayuba Wabba & others of @NLCHeadquarters declared wanted for economic sabotage & attacks on public infrastructure under Miscellaneous Offences Act.
“Anyone that knows where he is hiding should send a message to @MOJKaduna. KDSG. There will be a handsome reward!”
