January 07, (THEWILL) – Veteran Bahamian-American film star, Sydney Poitier is dead at the age of 94.
The news of his death was announced by the Bahamas Minister of Foreign Affairs Fred Mitchell.
The reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained.
Before his death, Poitier was the first black man to win a Best Actor Oscar Award.
