December 07, (THEWILL) – Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson was left frustrated after a 91st-minute Kieffer Moore header condemned his side to a 2-0 home defeat against Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
The loss means Palace have managed just one league victory at Selhurst Park this season. Hodgson saw his side’s injury troubles continue early on when defender Tyrick Mitchell limped off, later replaced by Nathaniel Clyne.
Jefferson Lerma went closest for the hosts when he hit the post after half-time. However, Palace struggled to create openings and were made to pay when Moore came off the bench to head home a late winner for the visitors after Marcos Sensei had opened the scoring for the away side in the 25th minute.
The defeat leaves Palace 14th in the English Premier League table while Bournemouth have closed the gap between both teams to sit one place behind in 15th.
Hodgson will be demanding an improved performance when second-placed Liverpool visit Selhurst Park on Saturday.
