October 1, (THEWILL) – Lewis Hamilton may have qualified third fastest for the Singapore Grand Prix, but a dispute over jewellery may be on the horizon.
The seven-time world champion was summoned by the stewards early on Saturday amid rumours that his persistent wearing of jewellery, which is prohibited by F1 rules, had surfaced once more.
Hamilton’s “inaccurate self-scrutineering form” was brought up during qualifying, and Mercedes was warned that the issue of jewellery will be handled.
Hamilton has occasionally worn an excessive quantity of gold during news conferences in an apparent protest against the rules, fueling the controversy that has been going on for a few seasons.
