October 01, (THEWILL) – The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu and all Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 64th Independence Anniversary.
In his congratulatory message, the Minister said as the nation completes another glorious year of her independence, Nigerians have every cause to celebrate the remarkable achievements recorded in the journey to nationhood.
“Even though our journey to nationhood was tough and thorny, with the determination of our leaders, Nigeria has attained a significant milestone as the biggest economy and largest democracy on the African continent.
“Independence Day is celebrated with utmost fervour, zest and a spirit of patriotism to mark the innumerable sacrifices of our leaders, both past and present, as well as honour the fact that we are living in a free Nigeria,” he said.
Gwarzo assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is working assiduously to fix the nation’s problems, saying that people-oriented programmes were initiated and numerous projects have come on board and are targeted at addressing the multiple challenges facing the nation.
He said the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development is pursuing the Renewed Hope Estate and Cities programme vigorously with a view to ensuring that every individual has access to safe, affordable and dignified homes, irrespective of gender or status.
The Minister praised Nigerians for their unalloyed loyalty and contribution to the development of the nation’s democratic institutions.
“The years ahead would be prosperous as Nigerians would count blessings and opportunities under President Bola Ahmad Tinubu’s administration,” he added.
