September 29, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has elected Ibrahim Musa Gusau, as its new president.
Gusau was chosen during the 78th NFF Elective Congress, which took place on Friday, in Benin, Edo State.
He received 21 votes, beating his closest rival, former first Vice President, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, who received 12 votes.
Other candidates decided against participating in the potential rerun, even though Gusau did not receive the necessary 22 votes to win in the first round.
