Group Seeks Peaceful Conduct Of Gubernatorial Election In Lagos

March 16, (THEWILL) – A Group, Omoluabi Coalition, has solicited for peaceful conduct of the next Saturday Governorship Election in Lagos State, urging the residents to turn up en masse and carry out their civic duties without violence.

Addressing the media in Lagos, the Director General of the Omoluabi Coalition, Mr Tunji Balogun, said Lagosians should not be intimidated, but should freely come out to vote for their candidates in the election.

The group chastised the Labour Governorship Candidate, Mr Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, saying he has been inciting the Igbos against the Yoruba.

He called on the security agencies to ensure that Lagos State is peaceful before, during and after the election.

He said LP Candidate has been beating the drum of war, asking people not to be scared, but should come out in large number to cast their votes for the incumbent Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
