Greenwood Released On Bail After Private Hearing

October 19, (THEWILL) – Mason Greenwood will be let go from detention after having his request for bail approved in a private hearing.

THEWILL recalls that Greenwood was charged on Saturday, after being detained again for violating his bail conditions. He was originally detained in January 2022 on suspicion of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault.

Greenwood was initially refused bail following his Monday appearance in Manchester Magistrates’ Court, but after a new application was made in private at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court, he was granted bail with the requirement that he not speak to the complainant or any witnesses and reside at a Bowdon address on Bow Green Road.

After a lady published claims online that included pictures and videos of the aforementioned offences, Manchester United quickly suspended Greenwood and, ever since his arrest, he has not made an appearance for the team in any manner.

On Monday, November 21, the 21-year-old will make his next court appearance.
