June 30, (THEWILL) – Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has ordered the immediate suspension of the Head of Service (HoS) and all Permanent Secretaries in the State civil service.
A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kazie Uko, directed all Permanent Secretaries, with the exception of John Pedro Iroakazi, the Clerk of the State House of Assembly, and the Solicitor General, Mrs U. G. Uche Ikonne, to hand over duties to the most senior Director in their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
Meanwhile, the Governor has appointed the Director of the Ministry of Education, Lady Joy Maduka, as Acting Head of Service (HOS).
