BEVERLY HILLS, August 23, (THEWILL) – A second-half goal from Kingsley Coman was the difference as Bayern Munich emerged winners of the 2020 Champions League at the detriment of PSG on Sunday night.
The game was open to both sides in the first half as the first real opportunity fell to Neymar but the brilliance of German goalkeeper, Manuel Nuer, saved Bayern.
This close call inspired the Bundesliga champions as Lewandoski almost scored but his shot hit the woodwork.
Brazilian winger, Angel Di Maria, could have scored but he squandered the opportunity as his weak-footed drive rose over the bar.
The game ended 0-0 at half time as Coman took a tumble under slight pressure inside the PSG area, but his penalty appeals were not considered.
However, during the second half, Coman again was unmarked at the far post and he guided a header past PSG’s goalkeeper, Navas to make it 1-0.
The French club tried to equalize but did not take advantage of at least two opportunities to level scores.
THEWILL reports that Bayern is the first team in European history to win every game en route to winning the competition.
