BEVERLY HILLS, June 26, (THEWILL) – Nigeria’s Super Eagles suffered a 2-1 goals defeat in an all important Group D game against Argentina to crash out of the 2018 Russia World Cup.
Nigeria needed a win or a draw to progress but could not hang after conceding a second goal late in the game.
Victory would have guaranteed progress regardless of the outcome of Iceland’s clash with Croatia.
