Fulham Thump West Ham 5-0 In Another Emphatic EPL Display

December 10, (THEWILL) – Marco Silva’s Fulham breached West Ham defences five times for the second English Premier League match in a row as they cruised to an emphatic 5-0 win at Craven Cottage on Sunday. First-half goals from Raul Jimenez, Willian and Tosin Adarabioyo saw the hosts go in 3-0 up at the break. Harry Wilson added a stunning fourth on the hour mark before Carlos Vinicius rounded out the scoring late on.

The result moves Fulham up to 10th in the EPL table while piling more misery on David Moyes’ struggling Hammers. Jimenez’s opener was his 4th goal in five games since joining from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January. The Mexican continued his hot streak by heading home from Joao Palhinha’s pinpoint cross. Willian doubled the lead with a fine curled finish from Alex Iwobi’s assist before Adarabioyo powered home a header from a corner before half-time.

West Ham created little, with only a James Ward-Prowse free-kick forcing Bernd Leno into a good first-half save. The visitors did improve after the break but Wilson’s long-range screamer on 60 minutes killed any hopes of a comeback. Harrison Reed then set up Vinicius for the 5th goal in the closing stages to put the gloss on a fabulous afternoon for Silva’s side.

The result backs up Fulham’s 5-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest in midweek. The Cottagers have now scored 13 goals in their last 3 league outings and momentum is firmly with Silva’s entertaining outfit. West Ham remains in 9th, just above Fulham in the table.
