September 06, (THEWILL) – Novak Djokovic continued his bid for a fourth US Open title by comprehensively defeating American, Taylor Fritz, 6-1 6-4 6-4, to reach the semi-finals in New York.
The Serbian was in commanding form throughout, dismantling Fritz’s game in an efficient display. Fritz had entered the match in stellar form, having won all his previous matches in New York without dropping a set. However, he was unable to replicate that level against Djokovic, who has proven to be a formidable opponent throughout his career.
