Former CJN, Dahiru Musdapher, Is Dead

BEVERLY HILLS, January 23, (THEWILL) – A former Chief Justice of the Federation (CJN), Justice Dahiru Musdapher, is dead.

The 75-year-old justice died in a London hospital leaving a wife and three children to survive him.

Justice Musdapher was appointed the Acting Chief Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in August 2011.

He was born a member of the Bani Ya’muusa clan in Babura Town in Babura, a local government area in the north of Jigawa State.

In 1979, he was appointed as a Judge of the High Court of Kano State by General Olusegun Obasanjo.

Reacting to his demise, former Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa state, in his twitter handle, wrote @TheBamainaBoy: “Our Heartfelt Condolences to the immediate family of the recently deceased Justice Dahiru Musdapher who sadly passed on just yesterday.

“Jigawa will miss him as well as the Nigerian Judiciary. May Jannatul Firdaus Be His Final Abode.”

The Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria also confirmed the news in its tweet @MULANLAGOS saying that it has just been announced that the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Dahiru Musdapher is dead.
