September 06, (THEWILL) A fire incident at a section of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Wednesday, disrupted flight operations.
THEWILL gathered that the inferno originated from a faulty cable on the Tarmac.
According to the Nigerian Tribune, the incident affected the administrative office of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
“All passengers and staff were asked to evacuate the building while the Lagos State Fire service was on hand to complement that of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN),” a source told the Media.
While the fire has been contained, THEWILL reports that technicians are working to restore power to systems.
