Is rapper, Ice Prince leaving Chocolate City?
SAN FRANCISCO, May 22, (THEWILL) – That seems to be the question on the lips of fans following his announcement during an interview on 96.9 CoolFM’s Midday Oasis this morning.
During his chat with OAPs Do2dtun and Temi, Ice Prince revealed that his contract with the record label had actually expired two years ago but upon mutual agreement with the label, decided to keep it on the down low.
Officially, my contract with Chocolate City is over – @Iceprincezamani #MiddayOasisWithTheWildOnes w/ @iamDo2dtun x @Temicoolfm

Recall that the rapper who was announced as the imprint’s Vice President last June, also revealed two years ago while speaking with MTV UK that he has launched his own label called Super Cool Cats Music.
“There’s Super Cool Cats music, my new outfit, and I have a few artists that I want to introduce to the world. There’s a girl called Ruth and a guy called Stunt. They’re all super cool cats. And there are a lot of producers in that outfit as well,” he said.
Also, from his recent music releases, Chocolate City’s logo has been noticeably absent from all the artworks while that of Super Cool Cats remains.
Is it safe to assume he has indeed moved on to his own label but still has a “thing” going on with Choc city? Or just like Jesse Jagz, is his business with Choclate City through Super Cool Cats Music?
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see…
