August 04, (THEWILL) – The Falconets’ 21-player squad for the 2019 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup finals in Costa Rica has been released by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
On Thursday, the team left the country for the competition with three goalkeepers, six defenders, six midfielders, and six strikers penciled down in the squad list to represent the country in the age competition.
Starting on August 10, Nigeria will compete in Group C of the 16-nation tournament against France, Canada, and Korea Republic. Nigeria, who defeated Senegal, Cameroon, the Republic of Congo, and Central African Republic in the qualifying rounds by winning six of seven games, is one of Africa’s representatives and will be captained by Oluwatosin Demehin throughout the 19-day competition.
