FAAN said it is not currently conducting any recruitment exercise, describing the purported employment offer as fraudulent and warning members of the public against dealing with those behind it.

The Authority cautioned job seekers against making payments or surrendering personal information to anyone presenting the fake offer, stressing that genuine recruitment information will only be released through its official communication channels.
August 27, (THEWILL) — The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has raised the alarm over a fraudulent employment letter being circulated in its name, warning members of the public, particularly job seekers, not to fall victim to the scheme.
FAAN, in a statement issued on Thursday to alert the public, disowned a purported “Letter of Provisional Offer of Employment” being circulated by unauthorised individuals who claim to represent the Authority.
“FAAN wishes to state categorically that the Authority is not currently conducting any recruitment exercise and disassociates itself from this letter and any related employment offers,” the statement said.
The Authority urged members of the public to exercise caution and avoid engaging with individuals issuing the purported employment offers.
It warned against making payments, providing personal information, or responding to requests from the individuals behind the fraudulent scheme.

FAAN also advised prospective applicants to verify employment-related information before taking any action, noting that fraudsters often exploit the desperation of job seekers by presenting fake appointment letters and demanding money or sensitive personal details.
The Authority said all legitimate information concerning recruitment into FAAN would be communicated through its recognised official channels.
It urged members of the public to remain vigilant and to rely only on verified information from the Authority before responding to any purported recruitment announcement.
