March 18, (THEWILL) – Everton earned a dramatic 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, with a late equaliser from Ellis Simms.

The striker’s first English Premier League goal stunned the hosts, who were looking to extend their fine form and recent winning run in all competitions to four games.

Chelsea had taken the lead through Joao Felix’s second goal in the competition, but Abdoulaye Doucoure’s header from a corner brought Everton level. Kai Havertz restored the Blues’ advantage with a penalty, but they were unable to hold on as Simms scored in the 89th minute.

After the international break, Chelsea will face Aston Villa on Sunday, April 1, while Everton will take on Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, April 3.
