February 08, (THEWILL) – Manchester City are confident they will be able to satisfy any concerns from English Premier League clubs over their proposed signing of winger, Savio, from Troyes.

City are currently in talks with the Ligue 2 side, part of the City Football Group (CFG), regarding 19-year-old Savio, who has impressed whilst on loan at La Liga title challengers, Girona, this campaign. However, the deal has been complicated by Troyes’ CFG ties.

Sources have confirmed that if any concerns are raised regarding the transfer fee involved, the EPL would likely conduct an independent fair market valuation. City stressed that no fee has yet been finalised but they anticipate no issues satisfying league officials.

It has been suggested that Savio could be valued at around €30m. City believe any fee near this mark would likely receive approval from the League. They are well aware of the situation but remain confident of meeting requirements the first time.

In January, EPL clubs voted narrowly against blocking dealings between CFG-owned clubs. So there are no legal barriers to City’s Savio pursuit, with the club optimistic they can finalise an acceptable deal.
