September 03, (THEWILL) — The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has declared a former Abia State commissioner, Christopher Enweremadu, wanted over alleged criminal conspiracy, diversion of public funds, stealing, and money laundering.

In a public notice issued on Wednesday, the EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, said the 58-year-old, who served under former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, was last traced to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Umuahia.

The Commission urged anyone with useful information on his whereabouts to report to any of its offices across the country, including those in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, and Abuja.

The EFCC also provided contact channels through its hotline, 08093322644, and email, [email protected], while advising the public to liaise with the nearest police station or security agency with any information that could assist his arrest.
