The Group Managing Director of Vitafoam Nigeria PLC, Mr Taiwo Adeniyi, has reiterated that more funding in education systems would reduce terrorism and other nervous activities bedevilling the country.
Taiwo stated this shortly after official commissioning and hand over of four blocks of classrooms constructed and equipped with learning materials by Vitafoam, as part of corporate responsibility service (CSR) to the host community in Maiduguri.
He commended Prof Babagana Zulum for his developmental effort and appreciated all the support and assistance rendered to the victims of insurgency.
“We recognise the effort of state Governor, Babagana Zulum, is trying to bring back education because everybody has realised that basic education is very important to development of any child.
“And that’s why the investment is around the education is done and vital to the growth and development.
“You be sure of idea of harm children on the streets or joining terrorism to cause mayhem all over the place will be drastically reduced. If we are able to get these little ones out of the streets and those ones (terrorists) won’t be able to have them for nefarious activities”, he said.
Earlier, The Borno State Deputy Governor, Usman Kadafur, commended the organisation for the construction and handing over of four befitting blocks of classrooms at Budum Primary School in Maiduguri.
“They built four befitting blocks of classrooms, with desks and learning materials for pupils in Budum Pry School and we sincerely appreciate the good gesture done by the organisation towards the development of education in the state especially at this trying time of recovery process”, Khadafur thanked.
He equally appealed to the company to expand its base in the state with a view to providing job opportunities for the teeming youths in the state.
