August 11, (THEWILL) – West African military chiefs will meet on Saturday, to prepare plans for a possible military intervention in Niger Republic
Quoting a Nigerian government official, an AFP report said on Friday, that the meeting would hold in Accra, Ghana.
The meeting followed Thursday’s resolution of ECOWAS leaders directing military intervention in Niger Republic.
THEWILL reports that the leaders at an extraordinary summit, held Thursday, in Abuja, directed its military chiefs to be on a standby for possible military intervention to restore democracy in Niger.
