September 27, (THEWILL) – It is no longer news that Ola Ibironke, the boss of Dudu Heritage Company, a music promotions company, passed on from high blood-related issues on September 12. What many however do not know is that Nollywood actress, Bimbo Oshin, who many assumed to be his only wife, is actually his second wife. Long before he met Bimbo, Ibironke was married to Sola, the mother of his first four children. Their first child together is about 32 years old. They reportedly met during their secondary school days. They got married, moved to the US, and relocated to Nigeria years ago. He met Bimbo, who was just a budding actress, and made her his second wife. 56-year-old Sola is a businesswoman and a certified behaviourist who supervises adolescents and adults in special homes. She also moonlights as an event anchor and is involved in politics. So supportive was Sola of her husband while he lived in the US that many considered her his backbone in his early days of trying to make a name for himself as a music promoter. However, Bimbo Oshin’s fame and public profile created the impression she is Ibironke’s only wife.
Before his death, Bimbo, who recently clocked 50, bore him two children. A prominent Ibadan-based golfer and the captain of Ibadan Golf club, Ibironke was quite popular among Fuji praise singers such as King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal and Obesere in the 1990s. These two always sang his praises on account of how influential and affluent he was.
