July 19, (THEWILL) – David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has taken to Twitter to lament that his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, who won the Osun State governorship election on the platform of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has not received his certificate of return.
Adeleke emerged winner in the keenly contested election that took place in Osun State on Saturday.
He defeated the incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC to emerge winner.
Davido was in Osun State during the election to support his uncle, while residents went to the poll.
In a tweet, the singer called out INEC for delaying his uncle’s certificate of return.
He wrote “48hrs after our @AAdeleke_01 victory at the Osun Gubernatorial election, we are yet to receive our certificate.
“@inecnigeria, should we send you fuel money.LOL
“Please, no one should tamper with the Will of Osun People! Issue the certificate as required by law!”, he stated.
