Dokpesi Pleads Not Guilty To Money Laundering Charges, Remanded

BEVERLY HILLS, December 09, (THEWILL) – Media mogul, Chief Raymond Dokpesi has pleaded not guilty to money laundering charges following his arraignment at a Federal High Court in Abuja presided over by Justice Gabriel Kolawole.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Wednesday arraigned him alongside Daar Investment and Holding Limited in a six-count charge of unlawfully receiving payments estimated to be about N2.1 billion from the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) under retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki and laundering same.

Following his plea, Justice Kolawole remanded him in EFCC custody until Thursday when he is expected to make a ruling on his bail application.

The judge has fixed trial in the matter for February 17, 18, and March 2 and 3.
