SAN FRANCISCO, June 09, (THEWILL) – Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara has been elected Speaker of the House of Representatives defeating Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila. Both legislators are of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) though Gbajabiamila is the adopted consensus candidate of the party. Dogara polled 182 to defeat Gbajabiamila who polled 174 votes.
