November 24, (THEWILL) – American Rapper and music executive, Sean Combs, aka Diddy, is facing a second lawsuit over allegations that he sexually assaulted a college student in 1991.
A woman identified as Joi Dickerson-Neal filed the lawsuit on Thursday, under New York’s Adult Survivors Act.
The act allows alleged victims of sexual abuse to file a civil lawsuit even if the statute of limitations has expired.
In the suit, Dickerson-Neal claimed she was a college student at Syracuse University when she met the US rapper and music executive in 1991.
She claimed that Diddy took her on a date that quickly turned into a nightmare, alleging that he drugged and raped her at a recording studio.
Dickerson-Neal accused Diddy of showing a secretly recorded video of the assault to others.
She also claimed that this led to her dropping out of university and was diagnosed with clinical depression.
The civil suit filed in the New York Supreme Court demands a trial by jury and seeks damages.
“Plaintiff brings suit against Defendants to redress the substantial and lifetime injuries she has suffered as a result of being drugged, sexually assaulted and abused, and being the victim of ‘revenge porn’ that Sean Combs or ‘P. Diddy’ created and distributed,” the suit filed in court reads.
Diddy’s spokesperson, however, denied the allegations, calling them “a well-intentioned law turned on its head”.
The spokesperson added that Dickerson-Neal’s story is “made up and not credible” and that Diddy “never assaulted her”.
This is the second lawsuit that Diddy has faced in the past few days.
On November 17, Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, accused him of rape, abuse, and human trafficking during their 10-year relationship.
The lawsuit was settled out of court one day after it was filed.
