Dele-Bashiru Earns Debut Call-Up As Nigeria Names 25-Man Squad For Friendlies

October 02, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Football Federation announced the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique this month on Monday.

The 25-man list includes several promising young talents who have impressed for their clubs this season. One such standout is 22-year-old Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, who plays for Turkish club, Hatayspor. Dele-Bashiru has scored four goals and provided two assists in just seven appearances so far, earning a first call-up to the senior national team.

There is also another call-up for striker, Terem Moffi of Ligue 1 side, Nice, replacing Gent’s Gift Orban from the squad that represented Nigeria in their final AFCON qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe last month. The usual attacking stars like Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon all retain their places.
