Dapo Abiodun Wins Ogun Governorship Election

March 19, (THEWILL) – Governor Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared the winner of the rescheduled March 18 governorship election in Ogun State.

Abiodun was declared reelected on Sunday, in a keenly contested election by the Independent National Collation Officer for the Ogun governorship election, Prof. Kayode Adebowale.

The incumbent governor polled 276,298 votes to defeat his main rival, Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 262,383 votes.

Biyi Otegbeye of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), secured 94,754.
