Dangote also linked the growth and operations of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex to the government’s evolving policy environment.

He said measures aimed at strengthening local refining capacity, reducing dependence on imported petroleum products, improving energy security and encouraging domestic value addition had supported the refinery’s development and broader economic objectives.

“The progress being recorded at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex is closely linked to a policy environment that encourages businesses to plan with greater certainty, invest with confidence, and compete effectively on the global stage,” Dangote said.

He noted that the refinery’s increasing production capacity and expanding export footprint were contributing to Nigeria’s economic recovery through foreign exchange earnings, employment creation and stronger local supply chains.

The facility, alongside the group’s petrochemical and fertiliser operations, is also positioning Nigeria as a potential regional energy and manufacturing hub.

Dangote said the combination of government reforms and private-sector investment could unlock greater opportunities for Nigeria’s economy.

He reaffirmed the group’s commitment to investing in strategic sectors, driving innovation, supporting industrial development and creating sustainable employment.

“Our vision has always been to support Nigeria’s economic development through transformative investments,” he said.

According to Dangote, the refinery, petrochemical operations, fertiliser production and other industrial investments are helping build a more self-reliant and competitive economy.

He expressed confidence that sustained reforms, policy consistency and stronger collaboration between government and businesses would attract more foreign direct investment and strengthen Nigeria’s position as an investment destination.

Dangote said Nigeria could become one of the world’s leading industrial and economic powers if the government maintains policy consistency and continues to encourage investment-led growth.
