The delegation noted that Damagum was saddened by the loss and described the death as a huge loss, painful and irreparable being the family pillar who trained and raised the family.

“The death of Hajia Khadija Goronyo is very painful. She left a vacuum that is difficult to fill in recognition of her valuable and supportive contributions.

“We, on behalf of the entire leadership of our great party, condoled State Party Chairman, state party members and by extension the rest of the family members, Sokoto citizens over the sad loss,” he said.

He prayed for the deceased and enjoined family members to emulate her community and religious contributions to the state and nation at large.

Responding on behalf of the family, the Sokoto State PDP Chairman extended his appreciation over the message and the visit to sympathised with the family over their loss.
