Customs Boss Seeks Synergy Among Security Agencies In Kebbi

February 15, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Customs Service in Kebbi State has called for support and cooperation among other security agencies in the state.

The new Customs Area Controller, Kebbi Command, Comptroller Ben Oramalugo, made the call during his familiarisation visits to some heads of security agencies in the state.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Command, Nasiru Manga, in a statement, said the Comptroller was in the company of some members of his management team of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Correctional Service and Federal Road Safety Corps, Kebbi State.

He stated that the familiarisation tour was to foster existing synergy between Nigeria Customs Service and other security agencies in the state.

He stressed that the job of all security agencies is one, which is maintaining peace and order and protection of lives, adding that such cannot be achieved without cooperation and understanding among personnel of various agencies.

“We security agencies are all one family. We are like siblings. And Nigeria is our father. Even though the colours of our uniforms differ, our goal remains the same, that is the protection of lives and properties.

“Although we have another core responsibility as Customs officers to generate revenue for the nation. But all these cannot be attained in an atmosphere of rancour among us,” he stated.

He added that the CAC further expressed the readiness of his officers and men to render any support if the need arises, and solicited the same from heads of the agencies.

He also expressed his satisfaction with the warm reception he received in all the agencies visited.

In their various responses, the head of the security agencies in the state assured the CAC of their unwavering support throughout his stay in Kebbi State.

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Kebbi State, CC Yusuf Haruna Kiru, who is the Chairman of all heads of security agencies in the State, assured him of maximum cooperation.

He reiterated that Kebbi state has an enviable record of being the most peaceful state due to the existing synergy among security agencies in the state.
