March 17, (THEWILL) – The deputy Governorship candidate of the Young People’s Party in Cross River State, Prince Agbor Onyi, alongside three other people, have been kidnapped.

The incident reportedly happened around Akparavuni in Biase local government area of the state.

The identity of the three other persons have not been revealed.

He explained that from information available, the kidnappers are already demanding a humongous sum as ransom.

He condemned the incident, saying it’s a very criminal act, which is very devastating to the party and is a very serious concern to all.

He called on the Nigerian Police and all security agency to swing into action with unaccustomed alacrity.

The party also demanded that the Deputy Governorship candidate be released from the kidnappers den immediately to enable him proceed to his community to perform his civic duty on Saturday, March 18.

They equally called on all party members across the state to remain calm as they urge the general public to furnish the party, as well as security agencies with relevant information that can aid his prompt release.
