Conte Interested In New Spurs Contract For Resurgent Kane

August 30, (THEWILL) – Antonio Conte has revealed his desire for Harry Kane to renew his contract at Tottenham Hotspur.

The England captain is back to his best for Spurs and scoring goals after a tumultuous 2021 in which he actively pursued a transfer to Manchester City. On Sunday, his brace against Nottingham Forest helped Spurs move up to third place in the English Premier League.

Although Kane’s current contract is set to end in 2024, neither Kane nor the club appear in a rush to negotiate a new one. Compared to Nuno Espirito Santo, Antonio Conte has made the English forward happier, and the Italian wants the club to get him to sign new contract.

Conte said: “I have to be honest with you: I don’t know, I don’t know about this situation, I don’t know the details, honestly, honestly. You know we are talking about an important player for Tottenham.

“And the desire of everybody into the club is [for Kane] to continue to stay with Tottenham, to sign a new contract. But if you ask me about the details, about information, I cannot answer you.”
