September 15, (THEWILL) – Chowdeck is quickly establishing itself as one of the most prominent commercial brands attaching itself to Nigerian football, with the food delivery company expanding its Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) footprint to three clubs in the space of three weeks.
The company has entered partnerships with Shooting Stars, Sporting Lagos and Kwara United, securing prominent branding positions across the clubs while also becoming increasingly involved in how supporters experience matchdays.
On the surface, the agreements represent a straightforward push into sports sponsorship. But taken together, the speed and structure of the deals point towards something potentially broader.
Chowdeck is not simply placing its logo on football shirts.
It is increasingly positioning its core services alongside the matchday experience, creating links between football supporters, clubs, and its digital platform.

Shooting Stars opened the door
The latest expansion began with Shooting Stars, where Chowdeck became the club’s headline sponsor.
The partnership places the company’s branding prominently on the front of the Ibadan side’s shirt for the 2026/27 NPFL season, giving Chowdeck significant visibility around one of Nigeria’s historically recognised football clubs.
For Shooting Stars, the agreement provides another commercial boost as the club prepares to compete domestically while also carrying continental ambitions.
For Chowdeck, however, the Shooting Stars partnership was only the beginning.

Sporting Lagos deal builds on an existing relationship
Chowdeck’s partnership with Sporting Lagos has a different dimension because the relationship predates the latest sponsorship agreement.
For the 2026/27 season, Chowdeck became the club’s back-of-shirt and sleeve sponsor, giving the company a formal presence on Sporting Lagos’ playing kit.
But its involvement with the Lagos-based club had already extended into the matchday environment.
Chowdeck had previously provided food delivery services to supporters at Sporting Lagos matches, meaning the new sponsorship effectively moves the relationship from service provider to commercial partner.
That progression is significant because it demonstrates how the company can use football partnerships to build on services it already provides rather than relying solely on advertising exposure.
