September 12, (THEWILL) – As part of their search for a new Sporting Director, Chelsea has reportedly spoken with Luis Campos.

Shortly after Todd Boehly’s acquisition of the club, former Blues Director, Marina Granovskaia, left the organisation. The new co-owner had to serve on an interim basis throughout the summer transfer window, during which he spent close to £300 million to improve his new squad.

The goal has always been for Boehly to step aside with the employment of a more seasoned manager after the transfer window closed. At the moment, Chelsea is concentrating on organising their recruitment team, a task that the new manager, Graham Potter, will aid in.

Campos, who does not have an exclusive deal with PSG and is free to speak with other teams, has had discussions about the position and is one of many candidates being considered. Campos’ work rebuilding Paris Saint-Germain this summer was particularly impressive to the Chelsea management.

However, PSG is eager to grant Campos a formal contract so they can retain his very valued services. Meanwhile, Boehly is currently in discussions with a number of well-known prospects, as he looks to establish a strong recruitment division.
